What country did Ted Kennedy go to for treatment of his brain cancer?
Since he talked about how terrible the U.S. Healthcare system is, did he go to Cuba, or England, or Canada for treatment? JHVH1, you're missing the point. He and other democrats repeatedly stated that the medical care in socialist and communist countries puts ours' to shame. Why not put his money where his mouth is? Why not make an example of our system? Unless, in fact, the U.S. system does provide the greatest care in the world.

Good lord. The problem is not that the health care in the US is sub par, its that it costs too much. Nice try, though...no, wait...it was pretty pathetic.

now and not only that he probably had traditional cancer treatment which is destructive and many times is the primary cause of death. Our health system is lacking but the government taking it over is not the answer. there are certain laws that do restrict the treatments Americans can have in America. Some foreign countries offer certain natural treatments that can be very helpful and it is to be regreted that we here in America must go to a foreign country to get them... our system is a business... and money is the driving force... cure is not the goal

LOL. Good point. It's not like he would have switched over to the "public option". It's typical liberal policy: Do as I say not as I do.

He got good treatment for his brain cancer, but it just comes out like this - there is only so much that can be done where cancer is in the head and other places. It wouldn't matter what kind of health insurance he had. Not everyone has the best insurance like the senators and people in congress. I know people who worked for the government for years, and they don't get the benefits that they get. My sister, non government worked in private industry and has an Advantage Care plan.I've heard that Obama wants to get rid of it.

Does it matter, the man is dead from cancer and it can happen to any one of us.Remember whether you liked the man or not he does have someone out there that loved him,so try some kindness please.

Since the Kennedy's are all multi-millionaires, Teddy could afford the best treatment in the United States. The rest of us aren't so lucky. There's no medical insurance company or hospital in this country that would approve expensive treatment for a 77 year old with terminal brain cancer. It would have to be paid for out-of-pocket.
