If you had cancer & no health insurance, would you start a life of crime to get the $ to pay for treatment?
I mean, it's a case of life and death. And the government and the employer you work for do not provide insurance coverage. And you really don't care if you get tossed in prison because your days are numbered anyways and this is your last shot.

It's not a matter of life and death - if you have cancer, chances are, even with treatment, you're going to die. And if not by cancer, by something else. Life is finite. So, no I'm not going to start a life of crime to try to combat it - I wouldn't want to spend my last days in a prison either. Face what life has dealt you and deal with it - accept the fact that you have cancer and talk to your doctor about what treatment/help is available and work within that framework. If nothing is available, get your estate in order, plan for the succession and live each day, one at a time, until the end. Show some courage and face the end with dignity.

If I did start a life of crime, I would use the money for a one way ticket to Bali or something. Why torment your last days with chemo? Unless there was some chance of curing it, then I would be honest and seek financial assistance and payment plan. The actual truth is...nobody gets turned down if they need care. Alternatively, go to jail...because inmates get the best health care of all, and it is all FREE. So, if you are sick, jail is definitely the place to be. But get in jail for doing something fun, if you can.

In reality you wouldn't have the energy to embark on a life of crime. And cancer is NOT a death sentence thank you.
